⭐ Patch 9 Highlights
7 New Scrolls
Second Breath, Lucky Scroll, Magician Collision, Passive Income, Fight or Flight, Thick Skin, Drinking Buddies — each with its own Quest.
4 New Quests
Dedicated Quests to unlock each batch of new Scrolls, with in-run progress indicators added in Patch 9.
Scroll HUD
In-run display of scroll cooldowns, triggers, and stack counts for the first time.
Enemy Pinging
7 enemy types now pingable: Elder Shaman, Elder Bloat Crab, Elder Teethy Worm, Broodmaw, Stampeders, Frostroot, Baby Manta.
3 Scrolls Removed
Savior Focus, Steady Hand, and Resilient Revival removed for balance parity.
2 Scrolls Reworked
Fist of Support now grants +10% Damage and +30% Crit on revive. Power of Friendship now grants Armor with easier max-distance calculation.
Spear Barrage Buffed
Improved targeting, hitbox, cast speed, and base damage in Patch 9.
Split Augmentation Fix
Talon Slash, Phantom Blades, and Spear Barrage no longer divide damage across targets.
Post-1.0 Roadmap
Official future content plan: new wizards, realm, spells, rebindable controls, highscores, logbook.
🕹️ Gameplay Improvements
- ✓ Scroll HUD shows cooldowns, triggers, and stacks in-run
- ✓ Delayed Fate only appears if the player still has rerolls or Reroll Mastery active
- ✓ 7 enemy types now pingable (Elder Shaman, Elder Bloat Crab, Elder Teethy Worm, Broodmaw, Stampeders, Frostroot, Baby Manta)
- ✓ Size Mastery now affects Spear Barrage and Impish Havoc
- ✓ Gnashers can now be frozen

- ✓ Ghost movement no longer affected by Roads, Ice Patches, Frost Branch, or Rivers
- ✓ Scroll Chests now take damage from enemy projectiles
- ✓ Small grace delay added after Level Up selections

- ⚜ Fist of Support reworked: +10% Damage and +30% Crit Damage on teammate revive
- ⚜ Power of Friendship reworked: grants Armor instead of Damage; easier to reach max Armor

The Spell Brigade 1.0 launched on April 29, 2026. Player feedback highlighted progression grind and economy issues. Bolt Blaster Games responded with an unprecedented nine patches in two months.
Patch 5 overhauled the Gold economy. Patch 7 added the Diminution Trial and reverted wizard unlocking to Quest-based progression. Patch 9 capped the stabilization cycle with 7 new Scrolls and the Post-1.0 Roadmap announcement.
